NX Prometheus

    The NX Prometheus (NX-59650) was launched in 2374.  It was one of the most advanced ships in Starfleet.  The vessel was designed for deep space tactical assignments.

     The ship is capable of separating into three different sections.  Each section is heavily armed.  The ship features six warp nacelles, which allowed all three sections of the ship to go to warp speeds.  The ship can sustain a stable cruising velocity of Warp 9.9 and could reach speeds of 9.99.  It was the fastest ship in Starfleet.

    When the ship was launched, only four people had been trained for the bridge.  The ship was highly automated.

    The Prometheus was equipped with a new EMH, called the Mark 2.  It could recognize the crew on sight.  It would alert the bridge in case of intruders.  The EMH was not confined to Sickbay like the Mark 1 EMH.

Upon successful testing, Starfleet would begin working on additional ships of the class.
